I tried to talk but the girl on the mic kept on talking not giving me a chance to get a word in edgewise
Great food and we were in and out in about a half hour and they have some of the best root beer in the city. I always order a large and drink it all. Definitely a great in and out lunch.
The order taking girl said she didn't recognize that one and sent someone out
And my order came in a "to go" bag like they were saying "please leave!!!"

I love this place. One of only a handful of original A&W restaurants left in America. Food is always good and the prices can't be beat!
I want to mention here that whenever I have gone to A&W in the past I have always ordered a sandwich, a side and a hot dog for my dog to go with my free drink.
So finally I said "Excuse me I am the customer here and I have a right to talk and be heard. I have come here at least 6x (I signed up in July 2016 and it is Oct 2017) with a printed out coupon and I've never had a problem before. I am going to call the A&W natl HQ and complain"
The girl on the mic said you can talk to the owner if you are unhappy with this. You can call the store. The store has the right to refuse the online coupons. We accept coupons from the paper

Perhaps A&W Natl should make the free float day in August a free float with the purchase of a sandwich and a side. I think perhaps this may be the issue with accepting the online A&W coupons. But they could have said we no longer accept online coupons and not acted like this was the first time someone had brought in an online coupon. And it could have been handled in a much better fashion. The girl on the mic should be reprimanded for the way she treated a customer.

I have never been treated like this by a restaurant before.
I really wish at this time I had had the wherewithal to tell them to take their food and shove it and drive off without the order.
The girl that came out to get the coupon was someone who had waited on me before so she definitely had taken one of these coupons from me before but she did not admit to this
I gave her a $10 and told her to keep the change.
(Which I really shouldn't have done after being treated like this!!)
And there is no way I will ever eat at this A&W ever again.
But I have acute PTSD and am unable to think on my feet.
Chili dogs are the best! Service is always fast and friendly.
It was the worst experience I have ever had eating at a restaurant.
A different girl came out with my order than the first time
My dog was so upset by the whole thing she would not even eat her hot dog.
The first thing I did was say that I had a coupon for a free shake with a double bbq crunch burger
