When they have sales their prices can't be beat. If it's not on sale though it's probably expensive. 9 dollars for bacon vs 5 dollars on the other side of town.
I shop here every week, I find the prices competetive and the produce selection is always good. I grew up overseas and love a variety of tropical and exotic fruit - Tops doesn't disapoint in this area. Staff is always friendly and helpful, which is nice and lines at checkout are usually quick.
I have been doing my shopping at this specific store for about 6 years and I've watched it significantly improve over the years. Their selection has expanded, the sales are irresistible, their bulk section is beyond great, their produce is usually in great shape and I love that they keep it as local as possible, their bakery is wonderful... I could go on and on. The only down side is that the customer service waxes and wanes in it's quality, but I'm not surprised considering the surrounding demographic and pool of employable people that they have to hire from. Keep doing what you're doing Tops!
if there was monopoly all year long, 6 stars. the cashiers here take the place to -3 stars, but we end up at 4 stars due to the good selection of everything from meats to animal foods, as well as the convenient store layout, bulk candy section, and occasional weekend offering of the new york times. the beer section is large in size, but small in ambition and lacking in execution. a fine selection of toothpastes.
Tops is great!! The staff is always so helpful and super friendly, you are welcomed with a greeting and a smile every time. Wonderful!!
